Enable Hardware Acceleration
Terminology Note
Chrome recently renamed this feature to "Use graphics acceleration when available"instead of "Use hardware acceleration when available". The functionality is the same, just look for this updated wording in the Chrome settings.
Why this matters
3D AI Studio performs real‑time 3D rendering, high‑resolution texture processing, and other graphics‑heavy operations that are designed to run on your device’s GPU. With hardware acceleration disabled, these workloads fall back to the CPU, increasing the risk of viewer crashes and causing the entire site to feel sluggish. Enabling hardware acceleration ensures stable performance and a seamless creative experience.
Google Chrome
You can directly access Chrome settings by typing chrome://settings/
in your address bar.
1Open Settings
Open Chrome, click the three-dot Menu in the top-right corner of the browser window, then scroll down and choose Settings near the bottom of the dropdown menu.
2Navigate to System
Once in Settings, locate and click on System in the left sidebar navigation panel (you may need to scroll down to find it).
3Enable Graphics Acceleration
In the System settings panel, locate and toggle on the switch labeled "Use graphics acceleration when available" or "Use hardware acceleration when available" (the exact wording may vary depending on your Chrome version). It should turn blue when enabled.
4Restart Chrome
A "Restart" button will appear at the bottom of the screen. Click it to apply the changes and restart Chrome.
Note:
If the warning still appears after restart, your machine's GPU may be below the minimum requirements for real-time 3D. For the best experience, try using a computer with a dedicated graphics card.
Microsoft Edge
1Open Settings
Click the Settings and more (three dots) menu in the top-right corner of the Edge browser window, then select Settings from the dropdown menu (near the bottom).
2Navigate to System
In the Settings page that opens, look at the left-hand navigation panel and scroll down until you find System. Click on it to access system-related settings.
3Enable Hardware Acceleration
In the System panel, find and toggle on the switch for "Use hardware acceleration when available" or "Use graphics acceleration when available" (the exact wording may vary depending on your Edge version). The toggle will change from gray to blue when enabled.
4Restart Edge
After enabling hardware acceleration, a blue Restart button will appear at the bottom of the page. Click this button to apply your changes and restart Edge.
Note:
As with Chrome, if you still receive the warning after restart, your device may not have a sufficiently powerful GPU. Try using another computer or a recent desktop with a dedicated graphics card for the best experience.
Mozilla Firefox
Firefox Performance Settings
Firefox manages hardware acceleration differently than Chrome and Edge. For detailed instructions on optimizing Firefox for performance, including hardware acceleration settings, please visit Mozilla's official support page.
View Mozilla's Performance GuideNote:
In Firefox, hardware acceleration is found in the "Performance" section of the settings. Mozilla regularly updates their interface, so we recommend following their official documentation for the most current instructions.
