3D AI Studio v3.0 – Our Biggest Update Yet!

We’re thrilled to announce 3D AI Studio v3.0, a major release packed with new features, workflow improvements, and a complete UI makeover. From introducing Light Mode to launching a new Projects system, we’ve put a ton of effort into making your creative journey more seamless than ever. Read on for an in-depth tour of everything that’s new.

1. Introducing Light Mode

One of the biggest visual changes in this update is the addition of Light Mode across the entire website. Previously, 3D AI Studio was dark-mode only, but now you can quickly switch between Light and Dark Mode from the sidebar. A simple toggle in the top-left corner of the sidebar lets you choose the theme that best suits your environment and preference.

2. Projects & File Organization

Organizing your files just got easier with the brand-new Projects feature. In your Dashboard, you’ll see all your files (images, 3D models, etc.) alongside a concise “Recent Projects” list at the top. Your four most recently accessed or updated projects are pinned here for quick access. You can drag and drop files from “All Files” into a project, or create new projects in the Projects tab. You can name them, pick a color for easy identification, and manage them through simple three-dot menus (favorite, rename, delete, etc.).

  • Create new projects from the “Projects” tab → New Project.
  • Drag & drop files from All Files into your project.
  • Quickly rename, delete, or favorite a project from its menu.

3. File Selection & Batch Management

We’ve made it simpler to manage multiple files at once. In All Files, you can now:

  • Select multiple items by using the checkbox on each file card or by holding Ctrl (Windows) while clicking multiple files.
  • Perform batch actions like Move to Project, Delete, or even Batch Generate 3D.
  • Quickly see how many files you’ve selected. If you selected 14 files, for example, you’ll see a button like “Move to Project (14)”.

This new multi-select capability extends to generating 3D from multiple images at once, drastically speeding up your workflow.

4. Filters, Search & Changelog

Finding specific files is easier than ever:

  • Search Shortcut: Press Ctrl + Space to instantly open the search bar and look for files.
  • Filter Options: Filter by format (Image, Video, Audio, GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL, etc.), status (Remeshed, Refined, PBR, Favorited), or date range.
  • Changelog: We’ve added a quick “Changelog” button in the top-right, keeping you updated on the latest improvements, bug fixes, and newly launched features.

5. Direct Image Upload from Your PC

No need to generate images solely within our studio anymore! You can now upload images directly from your computer. Once uploaded, these images can be processed just like any generated file: create variations, customize, or even convert to 3D models. Look for the “Upload Image” button in the top bar of the Dashboard to get started.

6. The “Process” Model – Centralized Actions

We’ve completely reimagined the “Process” experience to bring all relevant actions under one roof. Instead of hunting through multiple menus, just click the file’s Process button. This opens a unified viewer and action panel. Depending on the file type (image or 3D model), you’ll see:

  • A Viewer to zoom, pan, and inspect the image or 3D model.
  • A Model Actions panel on the left with relevant tools:
    • For images: Remove BG, Convert Format, Customize (inpaint), Quick 3D, etc.
    • For 3D: Blender Bridge, Remesh, File Format Conversion, Texture AI, Add LOD, etc.
  • Info & My Notes on the right. Info shows file details (format, created date, prompt), while My Notes is a place for you to jot down ideas, improvements, or general reminders.
  • Download options to grab your file immediately (images or 3D models).

You can also favorite a file from this view, or share a 3D model externally if you wish to collaborate. Materials can be toggled on/off for 3D previews, letting you see just the raw mesh if you prefer.

7. Enhanced Image Studio & On-the-Fly 3D

Within the Image Studio, you can now do much more without leaving the tool. Generate your image with our Flux or Flux Pro models, then:

  • Load the image directly into Image to 3D or remove its background.
  • Customize or change the format on the fly.
  • Generate Variations: Select from different AI models like V1-Canny or V1-Depth, set how many variations you want, enhance your prompt, and let the system create fresh alternatives of your existing image.

This streamlined approach eliminates the need to jump between multiple tabs, saving you time and letting you quickly iterate on ideas.

8. Join Beta & Explore the New Texture Generator

We’ve opened up a Beta Program that you can join from Settings > Beta. Beta users get access to upcoming tools earlier, including the all-new Texture Generator. This tool differs from our existing Texture AI in that you can:

  • Upload any 3D model (GLB, OBJ, FBX, USDZ, etc.) directly from other software like Blender or ZBrush.
  • Optionally provide a reference image or prompt to generate a completely new PBR material for your model.
  • No need to rely on our 3D generator – it’s your own custom pbr texture.

Currently, it’s in early beta, so you might spot a few quirks. Your feedback helps us refine it!

9. Community Creations (Formerly “3D Library”)

Our Community Creations tab has received a UI upgrade with infinite scrolling. Browse through amazing creations shared by users worldwide. Clicking on any entry reveals more details, including the prompt used and the user who contributed it. This fosters collaboration and inspiration, allowing everyone to learn from each other’s prompts and techniques.

10. Batch Mode in Image to 3D

We introduced a Batch Mode for Image to 3D enthusiasts. Instead of converting images one at a time, you can now select up to 12 images and process them all at once. Choose your 3D model version, texture quality, or any other relevant settings, hit Generate, and let our pipeline handle everything in the background.

11. Image Segmentation (Beta)

We’ve introduced a new Segment Image tool in beta, accessible right from the Process modal. This feature lets you draw positive and negative markers on any image to segment it into parts. Once your masks are generated, you can download or save them for further editing.

Whether you’re isolating a character, removing an object, or just playing with new possibilities, Segment Imagestreamlines complex masking tasks into a few brush strokes.

12. What’s Next?

We already have more improvements in the pipeline:

  • Improved Remesh: Our upcoming dedicated Remesh server will handle the process faster, more reliably, and without the current bottlenecks or errors.
  • Additional Upscale Models: Soon you’ll be able to choose from multiple upscaler models to find the one that best fits your image style or requirements.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continuously enhance our service.
